Peaceful Futures Trainers
Jasmine Ali |
With over 10 years of experience working in under-served, minority communities, I provide culturally-responsive and faith-based interventions that utilize standard talk-therapy as well as alternative evidence-based therapeutic approaches. I began my social work career in crisis intervention for domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking cases and now clinically consult for the Family Trauma Intervention Program for Opening Doors, a local refugee resettlement agency. In addition, I am also an adjunct professor at CSU Sacramento and trainer on cultural-responsiveness and faith-sensitivity.

My name is Jihad Torky, and I am the co-lead of the RVA branch of the Peaceful Futures program. In 2022, I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with honors with degrees in Biology and Psychology and a minor in Chemistry. For the past year I have been working as an in-home Qualified Mental Health Professional.
