Fund a future without domestic violence
Remember. Reflect. Act.
Peaceful Families Project (PFP) is initiating a national/ global project to recognize, document and memorialize the stories of and honor the victims of domestic homicide in Muslim communities in the United States and beyond. PFP is a 21-year-old US based national non-profit organization whose goal is to eliminate family-based violence in Muslim homes using Islamic values and teachings.
While we as individual staff, board members and researchers are well aware of and understand deeply the effects of pervasive Islamophobia in many of the countries where we as Muslims live, work and worship. Peaceful Families Project is committed to gathering information about these narratives with the faith that increasing our knowledge about the dangers of family-based violence and the honoring of the victims is a basic obligation of what we as Muslims are called to do in the face of oppression such that our communities are suffering in their own homes until today. Having definitive data will assist our Muslim communities to increase awareness of family-based violence and create more effective responses to reduce and finally put an end to this tragic loss of life in our communities.
Peaceful Families Project extends our deepest gratitude for your willingness to participate in this critical activity. All information gathered will be analyzed in its conglomerate form and no personal narrative will be used in an identifiable manner without the explicit desire and permission of the appropriate family members or representative.
Remember their names and stories.
Reflect on the impact and loss in families and communities.
