About Us

The Peaceful Families Project is a 501(c)(3) national organization with international reach devoted to preventing domestic violence, with a particular focus on Muslim families of diverse cultural, ethnic and racial backgrounds. In an effort to affect change in all areas impacting victims and survivors of domestic violence, programming includes prevention and intervention in its approach to community education and development, training and technical assistance, and research. PFP encourages a holistic approach to addressing domestic violence through collaboration with faith and community leaders, community members, social service professionals, activists, educators, mental health providers, medical professionals, attorneys, and youth leaders.

2024 PFP Achievements

The Peaceful Families Project sponsored 17 local and national events in 2024, engaging over 200 participants to raise awareness and advocate for change.

Collaborated with SAMHSA on a program designed to support faith communities in addressing and preventing domestic violence.
Organized First Friday for Families events across 8 states, uniting communities to support Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Co-hosted a national workshop focused on the U.S. Plan to End Gender-Based Violence, bringing together experts and advocates to drive progress.

Trainings and Presentations:

Conducted 31 impactful sessions in 2024.
Hosted the National Canadian Imam Training with NISA Foundation in Toronto.
Presented at prominent events, including:
- SAMHSA
- Wisconsin Probation and Parole.
- Utah Refugee Resettlement.
- Child Advocacy Centers and Mission Kids PA.
- Convention of Catholic Bishops National Conference (PA).

Trainer Network:

17 Peaceful Futures trainers across 5 states.
12 MAPI trainers serving 5 states and Canada.
39 PFP-certified trainers in 15 states and Canada.
